JAMES BROWN-JAYBEE
Singer/Song Writer
Lead singer and leader of JAYBEE AND THE ROUTINE - Funk and R&B band since April of 2001.James Brown has been performing since the tender age of 5. Born and raised in the heart of Boston Mass, JAYBEE honed his skills in church under the guidance of his grandmother Fran Brown. He later went on to work and tour with the likes of MAURICE STARR, NEW EDITION, RUN-DMC, and NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK to name a few. In the early 90’s JAYBEE teamed up with producer David Gonzalez to work in his original project in which Gonzalez was his Musical Director for the live selected concerts at Prince’s night club Glam Slam in Minneapolis. He is an active studio vocalist and currently working again in the studio with Gonzalez on a new R&B project to go along with his live band THE ROUTINE. His performances in the Minneapolis area also range from CBO, Big City and many Private Functions Groups. When Jay Bee isn't belting out a tune, he likes to chill at home and play video games and watch Tyler Perry movies.

JELLYBEAN JOHNSON
Guitar Player/Drummer/Song Writer/Producer
Born in Chicago, then at the age of 13 move to Minneapolis. Jellybean is one of the original creators of the internationally recognized Minneapolis Sound. As drummer Jellybean has performed and continues touring with THE TIME AND MORRIS DAY. From 1981-1995 worked as drummer and percussionist for Prince/Paisley Park/PRN Productions with live and studio performances with Prince, The Time and The Family. He produced and performed the smash hit Black Cat with JANET JACKSON, he also has been directly involved in the writing, playing and production with NONA HENDRIX, ALEXANDER O’NEIL, KAREN WHITE, CHARELLE, MICHAEL JEFFRIES and RHONDA CLARK. He played and produced album projects with MINT CONDITION and RONNIE BAKER BROOKS. Jellybean is also featured on recordings with JILL JONES, LO-KEY, HUMAN LEAGUE and PATTI LABELLE. Performing on Soundtracks: DRAGNET-PATTI LABELLE, GHOSTBUSTERS II-NEW EDITION, MO’ MONEY-HARLEM YACHT CLUB, PURPLE RAIN-PRINCE/THE TIME, GRAFFITI BRIDGE and JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK-THE TIME.Jellybean is the recipient of many MN Music Awards, MN Black Music Awards, MN Video Awards, ASCAP Awards and 20 Gold and Platinum Album Awards, Jellybean’s custom made suit-jacket, made for the movie Purple Rain, now hangs in the Minnesota History Museum.

DAVID GONZÁLEZ
Bass Player/Producer
Born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico where he attended the National School of Music-University of Mexico.During the 80's RCA Recording Artist with LA TIERRA in Mexico City, Mexico. David moved to USA where he has performed with THE WINANS FAMILY TOUR 2002, as well as in world tours with TROOP and AFTER 7 Atlantic and Virgin recording artists on the M.C. HAMMER, WHITNEY HOUSTON and KEITH SWEAT 1990 through 1992 tours. Has appeared on Star Search, Arsenio Hall Show, Rick Dees' Into The Night Show.Since 2001 to present performs at the NAMM shows in Anaheim, CA and Nashville TN every year. He has recorded with Alexander O`neil and TROOP.David has been very active as Song, Soundtrack and Jingle Writer/Producer. Credits: Target, Nissan, Sam's Club, Disney Channel, Steamboat ski resorts and produced and recorded hundreds of projects. Voice Over and Acting credits: Best Buy, Target, Lens Crafter, The United Way, Jack in the Box, GAME STOP, Musical Plays. David is the recipient of 2 MN Music Awards, 1 MN Black Music Award and endorses Ken Smith Basses, Musicman Basses, Jimmy Wess Strings and Akai MPCs.
